Everything is Connected
January’s motivational shirt is a reminder that everything we do in the world, throughout each day, is connected to everything else. Doing good creates more good.
The back reads: everything is connected and features each of the causes we have supported since March 2010:
- Piedmont Park Conservancy
- Open Hand
- Camp Twin Lakes
- Everybody Wins
- Adopt a Golden Atlanta
- PATH Foundation
- Kate’s Club
- Get Grounded Foundation
To date, we’ve been able to donate $46,000 to these wonderful organizations — thanks to you and your hard work!
Please post your results and improvements from today’s PT test — we want to hear your success stories!
See you next month — well, really later this month — on Tuesday, January 31st.

Improved my run by 1 :30 and overall time by 45 seconds. Thanks for the push today Lauren. I was fighting with my mind on those damn steps but your support and encouragement helped me focus and finish!
Congrats Kate! I am so impressed by your 6 day workouts and daily logging, with 2 small children to boot. Wow!!!
CHRIS GREAT JOB TODAY AND ALL MONTH! A CHANGED WOMAN, KEEP IT UP.
As for Kate, WOW, very stealthy but we should have known. Congratulations on wining the challenge.
Jeff maybe we’ll see you next week if not we look forward to a month in March where you can give us a full report on your progress in opening up the Luxembourg offices of BC4C!
Congratulations, Kate! I admire your dedication and tremendous results. Doing the challenge over the holidays is not easy, but you made it look that way!
Chris, your progress is phenomenal! It was a struggle for me to catch up with you on the loop. You should be very proud of how far you’ve come!
Jeff, you will certainly be missed, but I’m glad to hear you’ll be back on occassion.
See youz guyz at RiRa tonight!
I am so super inspired by all of you in the Holiday Challenge, WOW! I won’t say how Marcia, Brandon and I came up with the winner, but it was TOUGH to decide! Congratulations Kate, and congratulations to all our Holiday Challengers! Hopefully you will keep it up going into February!
Remember: RiRa. Tonight. 6pm-ish (although Jeff might show up early). Fun times.
Oh and one more thing — David totally rocked today! I don’t know if he posts on the blog but I am posting for him — tons of seconds off his loop time for a PR of 5:44 (I think — maybe 5:43). He was trying to beat 6:00. Seriously? You should set your sights on 5:30 now!
Great job everybody!! I was so impressed that the entire group finished comfortably below twenty minutes.
Congrats to Kate for amazing dedication and awesome results! Thanks Tracy for keeping us all on track through the holidays.
I just read that it is National Chocolate Cake Day. I am just saying that now that the Holiday Challenge is over, it may be time to celebrate.
Thanks everyone for the kind words. It is easy to be inspired when I am surrounded by a bunch of dedicated “worker-outers” at 5:45 in the morning. As a non-runner, I am in awe that many of you are training for and running all of these races. Maybe that will be next year’s goal!
Congratulations Kate!!! That is such an amazing accomplishment you are inspirational!
As are you Chris… look at those numbers!! I feel so inspired today, it makes me cry a little! The good kind of cry!!!
David, you are a machine, keep it up and you WILL be running that 1/2 marathon with us in March!!!!
Everyone equals WOW. We were done, complete, finished in under 18 minutes. A new record.
I am very impressed and proud of the great work by this group.
See everyone on January 31.
